Diederick Hillenius, creative partner



Diederick studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Utrecht, switching to evening classes in 1988, enabling him to keep his daytime job as visualizer for Saatchi & Saatchi Amsterdam.

He left that same year to become an art director at Lowe, Kuiper and Schouten and worked for clients such as ABN AMRO, Mora and Campina. In 1992 he joined Campaign Company working on Robeco, Hij, Manfield and the Dutch Opticians Board.

In 1995 he joined up with copywriter Poppe van Pelt. Two years later they became creative directors of the newly merged TBWA\Campaign Company.
They were responsible for accounts such as Sire, Mercedes-Benz, Telfort, We Fashion, Nissan, Delta Lloyd, United Nations, Heineken, the Consumer Safety Council, Albert Heijn and Holland Casino.

Together they’ve won 12 Cannes Lions, 18 Eurobest Awards, 8 gold and 17 silver Dutch Art Director Club Awards.
